It's always a pleasure going in for something at PJ's. The owner is friendly and knowledgable about any issue I have (and I'm a contractor). So many stores these days treat customers like adversaries. Here, you get a sense of the old-fashioned "mom & pop" store where they work to have everything you could possibly need—and will take the time to discuss your project and offer advice if you need it.

It's amazing that this place is still in business. Inventory is pathetic, and service is even worse. Should just be a matter of time until Ace yanks their franchise. You're better off going to Dressels Hardware right down Chicago Ave at Harlem.
Very helpful staff, and even though they can't maintain the inventory of a mega store, the available items seem well matched to what you need in a pinch from a hardware store.
