I was properly parked on a street yet received a parking ticket, so I took pictures to prove I was correctly parked. However, their online system doesn't allow for uploading pictures, so I had to schedule an in person hearing. I had to drive all the way from the loop to make this hearing. What crooks.
I've lived here for 21 years. It's a nice place, and had been a wonderful place to raise our children. Well situated with easy access to both airports, the highway, downtown, and the rest of Chicago. The schools are very good, and the social environment is own and diverse. Taxes are higher than we wish, so buying and maintaining a home can be expensive. But I am glad we picked here to live.
Good place but.....
I really like staying here, but paying that much for parking is way too much. I paid so far over $ 400 for STREET parking only. Knowing that I moved in March 2017. And to make things worse, I get a scratch on my car almost everyday!! So i'm losing money everyday for parking and my car's value is going down only from parking there.
Overall great city, but the parking rules/tickets just really kill. Going to check out Westchester in the future. Much lower taxes and better parking.
